Nin Region

Nin is a town situated on a very small island in the middle of a shallow lagoon, connected to the mainland by two stone bridges. Croats colonized Nin at the beginning of the 7th century and it became the first capital of the new Croatian sate. The smallest cathedral in the world and the coronation Church of St. Nicholas can be found here. Nin and the surroundings offer visitors a rich historical and cultural experience, as well as remarkably beautiful beaches surrounded by untouched nature.
